(
NOTE: This posting revises last Monday's, to correct Mr. Guinto's score). Our attendance in yesterday's game was almost perfect -
twelve players showed up. By consensus, yesterday's game was
made into a quarterly tournament, whereby the following points were awarded to the winners, respectively, from
1st to 5th place (based on our existing GOY rules):
20, 15, 10, 8, 6. The rest were awarded two points each for attendance.
Yesterday's winner was
Pete Gavino with a net score of
1 under, which entitled him to receive
P4,200 (70% of the total pot; the 30% went to Mr. "Gold" and Tiger Sanchez, the runners-up). It was Popito Gwapito's
first appearance for the year 2010! (Where have you been practicing, Popito?)

The man to beat for the G.O.Y. race is still
Mr. Rene "Gold" Guinto, with 90 points. Trailing by 42 and 43 points, respectively, are
Ed Rodriguez and
Junvee Vital.
