The 1st quarter birthday celebrants were supposed to host and manage the 1st quarter 2008 LXG tournament. After yesterday's game, only one (Doc Tito La Rosa) of the three celebrants stayed behind to discuss the details of the tournament. (It was Raul B's birthday yesterday, so he had to go home early; Big Boy Abad did not play with the group).
And so, Doc Tito La Rosa, representing the 1st quarter birthday celebrants decided that:
1. The 1st quarter 2008 tournament will be held April 13 at the Langer Course
2. The format will be individual competiton, using the modified Stableford format, where:
- - - - 0 points - Net double bogey or worse
- - - - 1 point - Net bogey
- - - - 2 points - Net par
- - - - 3 points - Net birdie
- - - - 4 points - Net eagle
- - - - 5 points - Net double eagle
3. Board handicaps for April 2008 will be used, except that the maximum allowed is 36
4. Each participant will pay a tournament fee of P250 this Sunday
5. The tournament fees collected (about P4000 if all 16 members will play) will go to:
- - - - P2,000 - winner
- - - - P1,000 - runner up
- - - - P1,000 - taxes
6. The birthday celebrants may each contribute P1000 to increase the prize money.

1st Quarter Tournament
I go with Tito's suggestion that the tournament be hosted by the quarter's birthday celebrants. May I ask Tito if he means 1st quarter celebrants or 2nd quarter celebrants?
Please note that Doc La Rosa (1st quarter celebrant) has treated us to a free lunch three Sundays ago. The other 1st quarter celebrants are Lito Abad and Raul Buenaventura.

First Quarter 2008 LXG Tournament
Last year we held it on 25 March 2007 at the Langer Course, using the "2-man, better net score per hole" format. The winner was the Sanchez-Vital tandem with a net score of -8.
We shall have the same format this year for our 1Q2008 tournament. Possible dates are: March 30, April 6, and April 13. Please indicate the dates that you are not available, so that we can already schedule it.
On March 23, we shall have the drawing of lots to determine the partnerships.

Free drinks were courtesy of the day's overall winner, Cesar Zulueta.
