RESULTS - 1st Day of Year-End Tournament

For some of us, watching the Pacquiao - dela Hoya match was more exciting than playing on the 1st day of our Year-End Tournament. Only eight players came: 2 from Team A; and 6 from Team B.

A re-drawing of lots for the teams' compositions was made:
Team A - Tito S, Ed R, Rene G, & Danny B
Team B - Junvee V, Cesar Z, Gans C, & Doc L

LXG CHRISTMAS PARTY PROPOSALS: P1,000 Assessment; Solicitation of Raffle Prizes; Exchange Gifts; Counter Proposals

Proposed P1,000 Assessment Per LXG Member:
Based on the estimates of our BIR-Man Danny Bonifacio, our LXG Funds as of today total about P36,000. Of this amount, P20K represents cash prizes for the quarterly tournament winners while P2K was donated to a worthy project of the group of Lito Abad and his Lipa High School classmates.

Every Christmas season we also give out cash gifts to selected Riviera personnel who assist us in having assured tee times for our regular Sunday games, and those who make our fairway golfing go smoothly. These cash gifts total about P5K.

That leaves us about P9K for our December 14 X'Mas Party, which will not be enough to cover our expected expenses. To augment our funds, it is suggested that we assess each member the amount of P1,000, whether or not the member is going to the party.

Solicitation of Raffle Prizes:
Last year, we solicited raffle prizes from some of our members who rarely came for the Sunday games, and they willingly obliged. The logic was that these members contributed the least to our tax collections.

For this year, it is proposed that we do the same: Members who played, say less than twenty (20) Sunday games, will be requested to donate raffle prizes worth at least P2000 each. Our Sunday games attendance as of last Sunday is shown in the tabulation.
We should, of course, exempt Tony Perez (12 Sunday games) who has graciously offered his house as the party's venue.
Exchange Gifts:
We have traditionally exchanged christmas gifts during each X'mas Party. The gifts have been the types that would be appreciated by the wife. For this year, it is proposed that we do the same thing and that the value should be at least P1,500.
Counter Proposals:
All of the above are mere proposals. If you think you have better proposals than the foregoing, or if you want to comment on any of the above, kindly bring them up for discussion.

Lito Abad Donates Golf Club for LXG's December 14 X'Mas Raffle

For a number of years now, Lito Abad has been donating raffle prizes for our annual X'mas Parties. This year, Lito is donating a Callaway #2H, 17 degrees Heavenwood (see photo). According to him, the golf club has been used only once or twice (He did not mean - once at the Couples Course, twice at the Langer Course; once at the Player Course, twice at the Palmer Course; once at the Alabang, twice at Malarayat; once at the jabong, twice on the O.B.).

Ed Rodriguez vs Rec Bolado

Hi all,

Regarding the match between Ed and Rec, I'm ok for them to re-due the match since it was a tie. But if there will be another tie then lets put some rules into play.

1. Count back starting from the 18th hole.
2. Then last 3.
3. Then last 6 etc till a winner is decided.

Hope all is well.

Sergio!!!
